Believe it or not. There are quite a few people that believe that Bigfoot exists. It has become a cultural phenomenon and Bigfoot has become big business for some people. So much so that they have turned simple structures into nicely decorated Bigfoot museums. To learn more about these museums just continue to read our article. It has the information you need if you are one of those Bigfoot supporters. You may even plan a road trip to see some of these museums.
Bigfoot museums are a common thing in the United States and in Canada. It is a good idea to visit one if you want to learn more about Bigfoot. Are they real? Are they just hoaxes? Are these people crazy? Or are they just really into Bigfoot? And do they really think these creatures are real? A lot of people visit these museums to find out for themselves and to decide if they are for real.
Bigfoot museums allow you to learn more about where Bigfoot has been seen. In some areas of the United States, Bigfoot is almost as common as a local mayor. You can learn more in a museum than just about anywhere else. You can talk to the people that actually claim to have had a Bigfoot sighting. You will be able to talk with a lot of people. They will tell you about their experiences with Bigfoot. They will tell you that they are real. In most of these museums, there is a display about the myths and legends surrounding Bigfoot sightings. The museum will also include pictures, videos, drawings, and evidence of actual sightings of Bigfoot by people who say they really saw a large creature walking through their yard or chasing them through the woods.
How many Bigfoot museums exist?
This is right out of an episode of Ripley’s Believe it or Not television show or magazine. You would not think that there is much to this legend, but 12 museum owners will disagree with you. At the time of this writing, there are 12 Bigfoot museums around the country but only 4 are located on the west coast where Bigfoot has been spotted the most. # of the 4 are in California and the last of the 4 in Oregon. There is an exhibit in Seattle, Washington but it is placed in the Museum of Mystery and one in the Washington State Capital Museum & Outreach Center, but they are not true Bigfoot Museums.
Included in the museums are Bigfoot costumes, replicas of Bigfoot tracks and even hair by some of the same people who claim to have seen Bigfoot. When we refer to a museum, we do not mean the kind of museum that most school children visit but rather a location where weird things can be found such as artifacts, old clothing, taxidermy and so forth. Even if you do not believe the legend of Bigfoot or Sasquatch, you can still visit one of these museums and have a snack or buy souvenirs.
What will you see inside?
Of course, there will be statues of the Bigfoot species inside and outside these museums. One is 25 feet tall and stands guarding the entrance of a California Bigfoot museum Those replicas go without saying too much more. Other artifacts include replicas of plaster casts of the footprints left behind by these creatures, maps of where they have been sighted, supposed photos of the creature, newspaper clippings, and other documents. Lots of books as well. I love the fact that their “bigfoot bones” are on display in most of these museums.
Bigfoot is a term commonly used to describe an elusive ape-like creature in North America that some researchers have claimed inhabits forests, lakes, and mountains in the Pacific Northwest. Bigfoot or Sasquatch has become a worldwide phenomenon.
Those are just the basics of the contents these museums will hold. Then you can bet each one has a souvenir shop to tempt you to spend a little extra money There may even be a video or two you can watch while you go through the different displays. Each museum has lots of those kinds of extras. You will be able to see either very expensive items, or extremely cheap ones. People are going to be interested in what they have to offer. They will pay good money to look at and buy the things that they are interested in.
Bigfoot museums have opened up all over the country, even though there has never been any confirmed evidence of a bigfoot creature yet. The internet may make it easier for you to find one if you are looking for it. People go on vacation just so they can take a trip to see one of these museums. Most of them are free, but some do cost a little bit of money just like most other museums in town do.
The cost to enter these sasquatch museums.
Each museum has its own idea of what its exhibits are worth. Some are free but ask for a donation while others suggest that the donations equal $3 for adults, $2 for children, or $25 for the family. Hopefully, that last one is not per person. Then some of these museums charge a flat fee. One charges $2 for adults and $1 for children and what the others charge remain to be seen. Which one you visit and how much you pay will be up to you and your travel plans.
Just make sure to find out when they are open. These museums keep to their own schedule and not open every day of the week or late into the night.
A few of these museums do not have a location near you or in your area. However, they are still worth your time if you can put together a visit. Go ahead and look into the Bigfoot museums in this article. Who knows, it may be the last trip you ever take, at least as far as visiting museums goes.
